Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking an Infusion Nurse II for the Ambulatory Infusion Clinic (AIC). The role delivers intermediate direct patient care under physician plans of care, with supervision from a designated supervisor.

Responsibilities include performing treatments, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with care plans. The candidate will coordinate with the clinical team, document care in real-time, and participate in ongoing training and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, develops, and implements intermediate nursing plan of care treatments, evaluating patient progress toward goals.
• Assesses patient needs and status at each skilled visit, revises plans, and communicates with physicians.
• Provides patient‑centered teaching to achieve independence with prescribed therapy.
• Communicates with Clinical team, providers, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care and completes timely documentation.
• Demonstrates compliance with policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Maximizes work efficiency using computers to validate orders and document care.
• Responds to patient requests and initiates emergency procedures when needed.
• Acts according to policy as applicable in home/alternate care settings.
