Job summary

AOM Infusion, a home and specialty infusion therapy provider, seeks an Infusion Nurse, Independent Contractor in New York City. You will deliver patient-centered care, assess needs, and coordinate with in-house RN staff to implement care plans.

Requirements include RN license in applicable states, CPR, at least one year in home infusion or pediatric nursing, and strong communication. Flexible schedule and after-hours coverage possible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and registered as an RN in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a registered nurse in home infusion.
• Pediatric home infusion experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IV access devices (PICC, CVAD).
• Independent work in a home-care setting.
• Flexible with after-hours coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Perform physical assessments and report problems to physician and RN staff.
• Collaborate with in-house RN staff to implement care plans.
• Document changes and communicate with physicians and RN staff.
• Educate patient and family on care and prescribed therapy.
• Inserts and manages IV access devices as needed.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Complete charting and incident reporting.
• Coordinate visits with the health care team.
