Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse to join the infusion center team. The role focuses on direct patient care, administering infusion therapies, and comprehensive patient education in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds NJ RN licensure, ACLS, and IV therapy or chemotherapy certification, with at least 1 year of infusion nursing experience and strong communication and coordination skills to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current NJ RN licensure required.
• ACLS certification required.
• IV therapy or chemotherapy certification required.
• Minimum 1 year infusion nursing experience required.
• PD roles require 2 years of Med-Surge experience.
• Experience with transfusions and specialty infusions strongly preferred.
• Strong IV access skills including Port/PICC access.
• Experience with patient education and care coordination.
• Excellent organizational, communication, interdisciplinary teamwork and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a small-team environment.
• Schedule flexibility including extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs infusion therapies and monitors patients during infusions.
• Administers IV medications, biologics, and specialty infusions per policy.
• Documents care and patient progress in the EHR.
• Provides patient and family education on therapies, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Communicates significant findings to providers and seeks provider clarification when needed.
