Job summary

Texas Oncology in San Antonio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a busy oncology clinic. You will assist physicians, collect patient data, manage exam rooms, and help maintain efficient patient flow while adhering to compliance standards.

The position is primarily on-site with standard business hours. Qualifications include a high school diploma, CMA certification (preferred), and current BCLS with 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Entry-level CMA role with 0–3 years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and prepare rooms for examinations.
• Record patient data including vital signs, height/weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as directed.
• Enter orders under a provider's direction and maintain infection control protocols.
• Perform basic administrative duties as requested by supervisor or physician.
