Job summary

Amerita in Austin seeks an Infusion Clinical Specialist to deliver direct patient care and clinical education across home and alternate-site infusion services. You will partner with Nursing, Pharmacy, and Sales to ensure safe therapy initiation, patient readiness, and continuity of care.

This hybrid role requires hands-on nursing care, patient and provider education, and collaboration to improve outcomes while supporting onboarding and ongoing clinical training for teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice required.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience; infusion therapy or specialty pharmacy preferred.
• Experience in adult education or healthcare education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing care per Amerita policies, state regulations, INS standards, and CDC guidelines.
• Performs infusion therapy and manages vascular access devices as certified.
• Educates patients and caregivers on infusion therapies, medications, and device management.
• Coordinates care with pharmacy, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and participates in on-call rotation as needed.
• Supports onboarding, competency development, and clinical training for staff and sales teams.
