Position: Infusion Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Thayer Center for Health, Waterville
Schedule: Per Diem

The Role: Infusion Clinic Register Nurse (RN)

As an Infusion Clinic RN at MaineGeneral Health, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy. You’ll use your clinical skills and nursing judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care — all while supporting a positive and collaborative patient experience aligned with our mission, values, and standards of practice.

What You'll Do:

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

What You Bring:

  • Current Maine RN license or ability to obtain one promptly
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (infusion therapy experience preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-based care abilities
  • A patient-centered mindset and passion for high-quality care
