Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Infusion Clinic (TMCOne) on a per diem basis to safely administer intravenous medications and treatments for adult and pediatric patients.

The role provides vacation and sick coverage for the existing full-time team and may require up to four shifts per month, with Saturday and/or Sunday 8:00am–12:00 noon and weekday 8:00am–4:30pm coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or related area.
• Experience: Five (5) years of related experience in acute care preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NP national certification or eligibility; prescriptive authority; TMCH credentialing; Arizona RN/NP license; DEA for CS prescribing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status in collaboration with a physician.
• Initiate admissions and collect health history.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Document health information and update care plans as needed.
• Prescribe and adjust medications.
• Provide patient education and counseling on prevention and wellness.
• Maintain IT proficiency and comply with safety policies.
