The Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients carrying out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. The RN utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
The Chemo/Infusion RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with know/accepted standards of practice as described by the Oncology Nursing Society & the American Nurses Association. The Chemo/Infusion RN, under general supervision, assists with the daily operations of the clinic, including but not limited to patient care & education, triaging telephone calls, assisting with scheduling, billing, obtaining prior authorization, and maintaining medical records for the patients.
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate Preferred
ACLS, ONCC preferred.
This is a per diem position in the Oncology department in Monadnock Community Hospital.
