Job summary

Arkansas Children’s is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The role is a day shift, full-time position focused on patient- and family-centered care.

You will provide competent nursing care, collaborate with the care team, educate families, and participate in rounds to ensure safe, evidence-based practice. A valid AR RN license and ADN/BSN pathway are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college program or nursing diploma.
• Recommended Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Required Certifications: Registered Nurse license in Arkansas or a Compact State.
• Recommended Certifications: Certification specific to patient population.
• Required Work Experience: 1 year of nursing experience (as applicable).
• Recommended Work Experience: Experience in Hematology/Oncology or pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent level of nursing care and ensure patient/family safety and comfort.
• Document clinical information accurately and participate in hand-offs and rounds.
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition with timely actions.
• Educate patients and families, addressing learning needs and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in councils, committees, and hospital initiatives as needed.
