Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
• Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in medical experience with exposure to coding activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to pharmaceutical billing, physician coding and clinic charging procedures in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors.
• Audit daily charges for infusional therapies.
• Obtain insurance precertification of infusional drugs.
• Counsel patients on cost estimates of treatment.
• Enroll patients in available financial assistance programs.
• Serve as a coding and reimbursement resource for providers and nurses.
