Job summary

AT&T seeks a Vulnerability Scanning Engineer to manage and optimize infrastructure vulnerability scanning using Tenable Vulnerability Management. The role focuses on credentialed and non-credentialed scans across Windows, Linux/Unix, and networks, with collaboration across security and IT teams.

Candidates should have 5–7 years in cybersecurity, hands-on Tenable VM experience, and strong knowledge of authentication methods, OS administration, and network fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience with infrastructure vulnerability scanning.
• Hands-on Tenable Vulnerability Management experience including policy, scanners, targets, and results analysis.
• Strong understanding of credentialed scanning concepts and common credential types.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day infrastructure vulnerability scanning using Tenable Vulnerability Management.
• Configure and maintain authenticated scans for Windows, Linux/Unix, and network devices.
• Perform Linux server administration to support scanner hosts (OS hardening, patching, etc.).
• Execute non-authenticated scans for external/internal perspectives.
• Maintain scan coverage via target management and asset classification.
• Support vulnerability lifecycle activities and remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and documentation for scan processes.
• Produce reports on scan health and results quality; assist audit requests.
• Collaborate with CMDB/asset inventory, identity/privileged access, networking, and patching teams.
