Job Profile Title: Infrastructure Systems Architect

How will you make an impact?-

Jabil is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems / Product Infrastructure Engineer to join our Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) Engineering team. This individual will contribute to the technical roadmap for Jabil, identify product solutions for customers, and guide Jabil functional teams to execute to project strategy. Additionally, this role focuses on the design collaboration, implementation, and optimization of power and cooling infrastructure, from grid to chip, to support our customers global data center operational needs. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure products are scalable, robust, efficient, and dependable.

What will you do? -

· Evaluate emerging technologies in power distribution, battery systems, HVAC, and liquid cooling and ensure compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, ANSI/EIA, etc.)

· Collaborate to develop manufacturable scalable power and cooling solutions for new and existing data center clients.

· Work together with product and hardware teams to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving compute and storage requirements.

· Analyze thermal and electrical performance data to optimize energy efficiency and system reliability.

· Join forces with multiple teams to design custom IT racks with integrated liquid cooling systems (direct-to-chip, rear-door heat exchangers, or immersion) integrating sensors, flow meters, and leak detection systems into rack designs.

· Participate in infrastructure projects from RFP through mass production, including vendor selection, testing, and commissioning.

· Create CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for manufacturing and assembly.

· Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systems.

· Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure standards, best practices, and operational procedures.

· Support root cause analysis and remediation of infrastructure-related incidents.

· Design and architect end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

· Lead the evaluation and selection of hardware, software, and networking technologies.

· Develop high-level and detailed infrastructure architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, and security teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.

· Ensure infrastructure designs align with best practices for performance, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

· Ensure system compatibility and integration for liquid cooling systems for high-performance applications

· Evaluate and select appropriate components such as cooling plates, Coolant Distribution Units, pumps, valves, fittings, and thermal interface materials

· Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution

· Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

How will you get here? –

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or thermal engineering, is required

Experience:

· 8+ years of experience in data center infrastructure engineering, with a focus on IT, power and/or cooling system technologies.

· Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, busway) and mechanical systems (CDU’s, Fluid Networks, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Experience with liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion)

· Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE)

· Experience with containerization technologies.

· Knowledge of data center energy efficiency and sustainability practices

· Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements

· Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

· Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides.

· Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries.

· Capable of influencing others and sharing best practices

· Comfortable working as part of a global team

· Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones.

· Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM).

· Able to mentor less experienced engineers

· Ability to travel up to 30% as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

· A Master’s degree in engineering or higher is preferred

· Experience with CFD modeling, thermal simulations, or energy modeling tools is a plus

· Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IEEE, and Uptime Institute Tier classifications

· Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data center solutions

· Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid cloud architectures

· Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certifications a plus

· Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) a plus

· Proven record of successful subsystem designs and implementations in a relevant industry

· Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered

P06 Salary Range:

$157,200.00 - 220,100.00 - 282,900.00 USD Annual with a Target Annual bonus of 30%
