Job summary

Superior Court of California County of Contra Costa is seeking a Systems Administrator (Information Technology Analyst) to support a complex IT environment. The role includes resolving hardware, software, and network issues, installing and maintaining servers and storage, and providing user training and documentation.

Eligible candidates possess a Bachelor's or Associate degree with related experience. Cisco CCNA, VMware, and Microsoft certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field and two (2) years experience in systems analysis, systems engineering, programming, database administration and/or analysis, operating systems, network analysis and/or management or similar field in a multi-platform information systems environment; OR
• Associate's degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field and four (4) years experience in the areas of systems analysis, systems engineering, programming, database administration and/or analysis, operating systems, network analysis and/or management or similar field in a multi-platform information systems environment; OR
• Two (2) years experience as an Information Systems Technician II with this Court.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve hardware, software and application problems.
• Analyze and resolve network problems and access issues.
• Install, configure, test and maintain network, server and storage devices.
• Configure and maintain file servers and directories.
• Define technical specifications from user and business requirements.
• Plan projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide end-user training and documentation.
• Liaise between Court and vendors.
