Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking an IT help desk professional to join the End User Computing Team in Getzville, NY. This role focuses on delivering modern digital experiences for employees, supporting MacBook and iOS devices, and resolving incidents with a customer-centric approach.

You will work as the first responder to escalations, follow SOPs for patching, health checks and updates, and collaborate across the team to improve procedures and controls while adhering to risk and regulatory

Qualifications

• 4+ years of higher education and/or work experience.
• Experience digesting technical information and communicating technical problems effectively.
• Experience supporting MacBook and iOS devices.

Responsibilities

• Be the first responder to help desk escalations and resolve incident requests.
• Complete a variety of tasks from incident resolution to service requests while maintaining attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools to ensure systems run smoothly.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to perform system maintenance tasks including patching and health checks.
• Research and report complex issues to senior staff when anomalies arise.
• Collaborate on projects with teammates and guide less experienced colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures and document improvements.
• Understand and follow risk and regulatory standards and escalate risk-related issues.
• Maintain internal control standards and address audit points promptly.

Responsibilities

• Master of Multitasking: Complete a variety of tasks, from resolving technical incidents to responding to service requests, all while maintaining a keen eye for detail.

Education and Experience Required

Minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience. Prior experience in digesting technical information and communicating technical problems effectively. Experience supporting MacBook and IOS devices Detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience Preferred

A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, along with at least 5 years of higher education and/or work experience, will set you apart. Certifications or special training in related technologies are a big plus.
