Ladders is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join a leader in Aerospace & Defense, operating at the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps, and site reliability. This remote role is US-based with no visa sponsorship available.

You will help move complex workloads across cloud environments, remove blockers, standardize infrastructure patterns, and improve the reliability of our internal platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform and Crossplane; GitOps tools: Helm and ArgoCD.
• Software development in Go or Python for automation.
• Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for cross‑engineering infrastructure requests, resolving blockers and triaging issues.
• Migrate workloads and storage across cloud environments, including PoCs and migration playbooks.
• Drive technical deliverables within team engagements with capability owners to meet infra goals.
• Develop infra tooling, Terraform modules, and client libraries in Go and Python to support standardized platform adoption.
• Create technical documentation and runbooks to reduce recurring support inquiries.
• Build observability dashboards showing infra cost and usage.

For our client, we are seeking a Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will sit at the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps, and site reliability, helping teams move complex workloads across cloud environments with confidence. You will partner closely with cross-functional engineering stakeholders to remove blockers, standardize infrastructure patterns, and improve the reliability and usability of the company's internal platform capabilities. The position also calls for hands‑on tooling development, technical documentation, and observability improvements that support broader infrastructure adoption and operational efficiency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $136,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for cross-engineering infrastructure requests, resolving blockers and triaging issues
• Execute complex workload and storage migrations across cloud environments, including proof-of-concepts and migration playbooks
• Drive technical deliverables within team engagements while collaborating with capability owners to meet infrastructure goals
• Develop infrastructure tooling, Terraform modules, and client libraries in Go and Python to support standardized platform adoption
• Create technical documentation and runbooks to reduce recurring support inquiries
• Build observability dashboards that provide visibility into infrastructure cost and usage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Crossplane, and GitOps tooling such as Helm and ArgoCD
• Software development experience in Go or Python for automation
• Strong cross-functional project management and communication skills
