Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level in the federal service.
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree or LL.M.
• Combination of specialized experience and education may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the physical security program across the Health Care System's catchment area.
• Provide physical security support for VHA, VBA, and NCA.
• Evaluate risk and develop procedures for security measures to safeguard personnel and assets.
• Advise Facility Security Committees on security systems and assets.
• Advise during design and construction of security engineering and electronic security systems.
• Prepare and organize physical security documents, reports, and analyses.
• Conduct inspections of VA facilities for compliance with physical security requirements.
