Job summary

Northern Trust seeks a Specialist, BU Control for the Infrastructure Pre-Audit Assessment (iPaaT) team to support the Global Infrastructure Control Governance group. The role reports to the Director and operates with minimal oversight to coordinate audits and exams.

The role involves assessing current state controls, guiding risk-minded remediation, and coordinating with global stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables and effective assessment practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Internal Audit experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Financial Services.
• Experience leading teams of 3+ staff.
• Solid understanding of financial services regulations, risks and controls.
• Internal Audit or Risk related Certification (CSIA, CIA, CRISK) required.
• Internal Audit experience at a Big4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the iPaaT team lead in execution of defined objectives.
• Help drive improvement of the teams being reviewed and the iPaaT processes.
• Provide reporting on current state of ongoing assessments and present status to stakeholders.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls supporting the Infrastructure function.
• Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders globally and ensure deliverables are issued timely.
• Develop and execute assessment schedules to cover upcoming audits/exams.
