Job summary

Credit One Bank in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and maintain Platform Services that support product development and data analytics initiatives, delivering scalable, reliable infrastructure.

You will deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, cloud resources, and automation tooling, implement security controls, monitor performance, and collaborate across teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in advanced technical roles.
• Strong experience with configuration management, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Strong experience with building, managing, and maintaining Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift, EKS, or GKE.
• Familiarity with AWS products such as EC2, S3, and EKS.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Understanding of GitOps and ability to utilize Git with a strong understanding of merging and branching code.
• Experience writing YAML and JSON.
• Familiarity setting up event monitoring and alerting in Prometheus, Dynatrace, Solarwinds, or similar.

Description

Build automation and maintain Platform Services to support product development and data analytics initiatives.

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction; interact with customers regularly to develop and refine requirements, gain agreement on solutions and deliverables, progress report, monitor satisfaction, identify, and resolve concerns and conflicts and seek cooperation, involvement, and action to achieve mutual objectives.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

• Deploy, manage, and maintain Platform Services such as Elastic/OpenSearch, Hazelcast, Hashicorp Vault, Sonatype, etc.
• Provisioning infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters, servers, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Developing automation scripts and tooling using an IT automation tool.
• Monitoring system performance to analyze performance, security, and reliability.
• Integrating security and compliance into the platform with encryption and access management.
• Documenting configurations and processes so different teams understand how to use the same platform.
• Deploy infrastructure as code and applications using automation and orchestration tools in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Create, maintain, and track designs (at high and detailed design levels) with issue resolution.
• Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed

Position Requirements

• BS Degree and or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in advanced technical roles.
• Very strong experience using configuration management, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Very strong experience in building, managing, and maintaining Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift, EKS, or GKE.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products such as EC2, S3, and EKS.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Understanding of GitOps and ability to utilize Git with a strong understanding of merging and branching code.
• Experience writing YAML and JSON.
• Familiarity setting up event monitoring and alerting in Prometheus, Dynatrace, Solarwinds, or similar.

Preferred

• Experience administering one or more of the following technologies; Hazelcast, Elastic/Opensearch, Hashicorp Vault, Sonatype.
• Experience in automating cloud deployments in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Linux.
• Strong scripting background in Bash or Python.
• Able to create monitoring dashboards using Grafana or Dynatrace.
• Experience with ArgoCD.
• Experience with VMWare Virtualization.
• Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess excellent listening and communication skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
