Responsibilities
- Lead planning efforts and serve as a project manager for infrastructure projects in the transportation and water general practices for a variety of clients including local, state, federal governments and agencies, utilities and planning organizations.
- Review client and customer existing infrastructure policies and plans; provide strategic consulting services to update or create new policies or plans.
- Develop strategy and enhance collaboration to continue to build infrastructure planning in the transportation and water practices in Texas and nationally.
- Build and manage effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors; be responsible for client and customer satisfaction goals and expectations being met.
- Develop new business opportunities for water and transportation planning, design and construction projects.
- Quality review written reports, deliverables, and proposals for transportation and water projects.
- Responsible for ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance; present project budgets and cost estimates.
- Provide project management, leadership, mentorship, and instruction to project teams and department staff.
- Prepare and present for clients and industry events and publications to continue to build personal and company brand in the state and nationally.
- Manage sales and marketing efforts; identify and manage key pursuits.
- Responsible for QA/QC process adherence and process improvement.
- Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited program and 7+ years applicable experience (Required).
- Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water (Preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding work environment; willing to work overtime on short notice.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multisdisciplinary project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
- Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
