Description
Our client is seeking a strategic and people-focused Manager of Infrastructure App Virtualization to lead our application delivery and virtualization team. This team is responsible for maintaining and modernizing our Citrix environment, with a strategic roadmap that includes transitioning to Microsoft Azure and exploring technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a solid understanding of application virtualization platforms, and a proven ability to guide a technical team through growth, change, and innovation. This individual will be expected to align technical services with organizational needs while fostering a high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for Citrix-based application virtualization and emerging platforms like AVD.
- Provide vision, direction, and mentorship to the team; develop training paths and support career growth.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, clinical, and business teams to align virtualization strategies with organizational priorities.
- Oversee planning, operations, and governance for the virtualization platform, including capacity, lifecycle, upgrades, and support models.
- Support the company's migration strategy from on-prem Citrix to Azure-hosted solutions.
- Partner with IT leadership on budgeting, vendor management, platform licensing, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure operational excellence through documentation, process improvement, incident management, and proactive system monitoring (delegated to engineers).

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or Healthcare Informatics.
- Experience managing infrastructure modernization or cloud migration projects.
- Working knowledge of Epic and other EHRs in a virtualized application context.
- Located in or near Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote model.

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year.
