Description

Our client is seeking a strategic and people-focused Manager of Infrastructure App Virtualization to lead our application delivery and virtualization team. This team is responsible for maintaining and modernizing our Citrix environment, with a strategic roadmap that includes transitioning to Microsoft Azure and exploring technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a solid understanding of application virtualization platforms, and a proven ability to guide a technical team through growth, change, and innovation. This individual will be expected to align technical services with organizational needs while fostering a high-performance team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for Citrix-based application virtualization and emerging platforms like AVD.
  • Provide vision, direction, and mentorship to the team; develop training paths and support career growth.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, clinical, and business teams to align virtualization strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee planning, operations, and governance for the virtualization platform, including capacity, lifecycle, upgrades, and support models.
  • Support the company's migration strategy from on-prem Citrix to Azure-hosted solutions.
  • Partner with IT leadership on budgeting, vendor management, platform licensing, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure operational excellence through documentation, process improvement, incident management, and proactive system monitoring (delegated to engineers).

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year.
