Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC is hiring a Construction Laborer to support field tasks on water infrastructure projects. This full-time, outdoor role involves physical work, operating equipment, and collaborating with a team to deliver reliable results.

Training is provided for the right candidate, with opportunities for overtime and shift work. A high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Basic or advanced math skills
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements)

Responsibilities

• Performs all work tasks to support sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment.
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment.
• Able to work in the elements – extreme cold and heat for long duration.
