Job summary

Designworks Talent seeks an experienced IT Consultant to join their client’s IT team in Indianapolis, on-site. You will translate technical complexity into clear guidance for clients, collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience supporting large or enterprise-level IT environments.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server and VMware technologies.
• Certifications a plus, including: MCSA, Microsoft Cloud (Fundamental or advanced), VCP, CCNP or CCNA, Security certifications.
• Background in systems or infrastructure administration or IT leadership is beneficial.
• Strong analytical approach to troubleshooting and solution design.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Passion for continuous learning and the ability to adopt new technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and objectively.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients to understand business and technical requirements, ensuring solutions align with organizational objectives.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology roadmaps, infrastructure optimization, and best-practice implementations.
• Lead and support IT initiatives while coordinating with internal technical teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions following industry standards and structured methodologies.
• Evaluate existing environments and recommend improvements to performance, reliability, and security.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships through clear communication and proactive support.
• Collaborate with peers to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes across all client engagements.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support client and team success.
