Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Developer/Engineer to drive AI-enabled modernization of enterprise vulnerability patching. You will build Python-based, agent-driven automation to speed remediation across mainframe, Linux, cloud, network, and security environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with AI agents, RESTful APIs, and infrastructure administration, working in a hybrid environment. This contract position supports USC/GC candidates and offers W2 employment.

We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Developer/Engineer to help drive AI-enabled modernization of enterprise vulnerability patching. This role will focus on building Python-based, agent-driven automation to accelerate vulnerability remediation and reduce security risk across mainframe, Linux, cloud, network, and security environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop AI-driven automation frameworks for infrastructure vulnerability patching
• Build and deploy AI agent-based workflows to automate vulnerability remediation at scale
• Develop solutions using Python and/or Java/Spring Boot
• Integrate AI agents with RESTful APIs, infrastructure platforms, and security tooling
• Work across mainframe (z/VM/IBM i), Linux, cloud, network, and security environments
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to prioritize and execute patching initiatives
• Support the end-to-end vulnerability management and remediation process
• Build reliable, scalable, and operationally ready automation solutions
• Work independently as a self-starter to solve complex infrastructure and security challenges

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Java/Spring Boot experience is also valuable
• Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong system administration and infrastructure background
• Experience across enterprise infrastructure such as mainframe, Linux, cloud, network, or security
• Hands‑on experience with AI agents, agent‑based automation, or AI‑driven workflows
• Understanding of the end-to-end vulnerability management/remediation process
• Experience working in large‑scale enterprise environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with agent-based or autonomous system architectures
• Experience with IBM i (iSeries) tooling and vulnerability patching
