Job summary

Sentar is seeking a senior Infrastructure Engineer V in Washington, DC, to design and support secure, highly available enterprise infrastructure for complex government systems. The role requires a DoD TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility and deep experience in domain/server networks and VM management.

You will work closely with the Chief Systems Engineer to translate requirements into resilient infrastructure, produce security documentation, and ensure integration with applications.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• Extensive experience (12+ years with a BA/BS, 10+ years with a MS, or PhD-equivalent) in designing and securing enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise infrastructure to support secure, high-availability systems.
• Manage and optimize VM environments across secure and unsecure networks.
• Collaborate with CSE to gather requirements and implement changes under aggressive schedules.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and network drawings.

Sentar is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer V in DC!

Qualifications

Clearance Level: TS/SCI position. Personnel must possess a final DoD granted TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Education

B.A. or B.S Degree Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science

Experience

• Minimum relevant experience of 12+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years with a Masters, or &+ years with a PhD
• A minimum of eight years of directly related experience in the specification and setup of domains, servers, telecommunications networks, remote access systems, and mail servers.
• Experience designing and implementing information systems which will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization, analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems offer security and effectively integrate with current applications, ensuring that all systems work at optimal levels and offering support to application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements, establishing detailed understanding of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications, and managing suites of hardware and software infrastructure components, including Virtual Machine (VM) management in both secure and unsecure network environments supporting complex Multi-INT development to High Availability (HA) operational processing systems for a variety of government clients.
• Ability to develop/maintain security documentation, network drawings, and manage multiple related infrastructure components from conceptual design to implementation and operational utilization.
• Capability to identify and resolve complex configuration and performance issues within a dynamic infrastructure.
• Ability to provide hands‑on support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of managed infrastructure systems. Communicate with a variety of hardware and software vendors to receive quotes and resolve infrastructure challenges.
• Work closely with the project Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) to gather requirements and implement directed changes and enhancements to meet aggressive and demanding schedules.
