American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a Senior Engineer to lead workstation software packaging, deployments, and security patching across enterprise endpoints. You will design, deploy, and maintain Config Manager and Intune configurations, automate tasks with PowerShell, and drive vulnerability remediation.

Part of a larger team delivering high quality Computer, Network, Storage and End-User Infrastructure technology solutions, on-going support to the business. Independently completes infrastructure project assignments. Plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitor system performance and installs and configures hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.
This position will be the Sr Engineer for a team responsible for ensuring workstation software packaging, deployments, vulnerability remediation, and security patching. In-Depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Config Manager , Intune, and Patch MyPC for third party applications Strong experience using PowerShell and other scripting languages to develop and maintain scripts to automate day-to-day tasks
Experience with JAMF console and deploying security updates and remediate vulnerabilities on Mac devices
Strong troubleshooting experience Microsoft Windows and Apple Operating Systems for Workstations, DNS , and Active Directory
Good data analysis skills and reporting capabilities using Power Bi, Advanced Insights and other reporting tools
Experience troubleshooting security tools on endpoints
Improve and maintain Windows workstation patching process and cycle. Actively verify and apply security patches. Develop and maintain documentation for Config Manager / Intun e procedures and configuration of systems.
Maintain and monitor Config Manager / Intune platform and client health on workstations and mitigate identified problems.
Verify all endpoints are contained in Config Manager / Intune inventory and perform routine audits of workstations to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

4+ years' relevant work experience is required in deploying and packaging desktop software applications on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS including roadmap design, assessments, planning, implementation and upgrades/migrations of Packaging and deployments Tools .
E xperience with Citrix and Azure is a plus.
