Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a senior DevOps/Platform engineer in the Jersey City area to design, deploy, and manage distributed containerized apps at scale.

You will leverage Linux, Kubernetes, and container runtimes to ensure high availability and performance across environments. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of professional experience, strong scripting skills in Python and Shell, and hands-on work with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Sysdig, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.
• 10+ years of experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Linux.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience (preferrable RedHat OpenShift)
• 5+ years of experience deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
• 5+ years of experience with a container runtime (Docker, RunC, CRI-O)
• 5+ years of experience with a monitoring/logging tool (Prometheus, Grafana, Sysdig, Splunk)
• 5+ years of experience with scripting (Python, Shell)
• 3+ years of experience with Azure AKS
