Job summary

Bank of America seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage network tools and services in alignment with architecture standards. You will contribute to automation, incident response, and performance optimization within the Network Tools Architecture and Engineering team.

You will collaborate with Security, Asset Management and Application teams to validate device eligibility, coordinate remediation, and prevent re-introduction of non-permitted technologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Fault Monitoring, Capacity Management, Configuration/Performance Management within Network Infrastructure.
  • General Network engineering experience.
  • Unix OS Administration.
  • SNMP knowledge.
  • Syslog knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Change Management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME guidance on technologies and ensure solutions comply with standards.
  • Translate business requirements into technical definitions and deployment blueprints.
  • Evaluate reference models and playbooks for fit and effectiveness.
  • Develop software solutions to automate manual or inefficient processes.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of third-party products considered for firm adoption.
  • Promote inclusive, healthy work environment and remove blockers.
  • Contribute to defining functional and non-functional product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security, Asset Management and Applications teams to remediate non-permitted tech.

This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include looking for opportunities to improve efficiency when implementing and maintaining tools/services and embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and remediating non-permitted, end of life, unsupported or non-compliant technologies across our Network Toolset.This role ensures that all systems, integrations, and configurations adhere to the enterprise technology standards, security policies, and operational requirements. Working within the Network Tools Architecture and Engineering team, the engineer will drive efforts to eliminate unauthorized or legacy components.The position requires close collaboration with Network Engineering, Security, Asset Management, and Application teams to validate device eligibility, coordinate remediation actions, and prevent re-introduction of non-permitted technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
  • Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
  • Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
  • Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
  • Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains

$104,200.00 - $155,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
