Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Cloud Database Engineer to design, deploy, automate, and support highly available database platforms in the United States.

You will work across AWS, PostgreSQL, Terraform, CI/CD, Linux and Python, participate in planned maintenance, production support, and collaborate with a global engineering team to drive automation and cloud modernization.

This is a 1st shift, 40 hours per week, based in Arizona, with weekend ad hoc coverage as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of Cloud Database Engineer or Database Platform Engineer experience.
AWS Cloud Engineering and Platform Operations.
PostgreSQL Database Administration and Engineering.
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
CI/CD and DevOps Automation using Jenkins, Bitbucket, JFrog and Ansible.
Linux/Unix Administration.
Python and Shell Scripting.
Production Support and Operational Excellence.
Kubernetes/OpenShift Platform Experience.
Distributed DB Technologies such as Cockroach DB, Cassandra, Redis (prefer Cockroach DB or Cassandra).
Comfortable with production environments and planned maintenance; weekend ad hoc work as needed.
1st shift in the United States of America; 40 hours per week.
