Job summary

Harrington in Houston is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer to help ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments.

You will manage Windows and Unix/Linux systems, networks, and cloud platforms, respond to alerts, lead infrastructure projects, and collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to cloud disaster recovery strategies.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to technical projects.
• Familiarity with advanced cloud environments (containers, IaC, configuration management).
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support infrastructure across Windows, Unix/Linux, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Monitor system alerts, triage issues, and maintain uptime.
• Lead and execute infrastructure projects with IT and business stakeholders.
• Support incident response and escalations across teams.
• Execute patching, monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Assist with M&A integrations, including migrations.
• Develop and maintain architecture docs, SOPs, standards, and policies.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
