Job summary

Poolside is hiring a dedicated infra engineer to design and maintain the build, CI/CD, and tooling infrastructure that our researchers and engineers rely on daily. You will join as the second engineer focused on developer experience, partnering with today’s owner while sharing on-call and platform ownership with the wider team.

You will make our monorepo fast, ensure reproducible builds, and keep our Python ecosystem coherent, using automation to multiply impact across every team at Poolside.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bazel and writing rules, macros, toolchains.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite).
• Strong Python packaging, dependency management, and mono-repo integration.
• Backend services in Go and building CLI/internal tooling.
• Expertise debugging Linux networking and process issues.
• Experience running Kubernetes clusters (managed or self-hosted).
• Familiarity with AWS IAM and managing complex AWS environments (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Observability and monitoring practices; incident response familiarity.
