Job summary

Poolside is seeking an experienced infrastructure-focused engineer to design and maintain build, CI/CD, and developer tooling used by researchers and engineers. You will optimize the monorepo, ensure fast builds, and integrate Python and ML code into the build system.

You will own build and deployment pipelines, work with an established infra team, and participate in on-call and incident response. Remote role with flexible hours and strong collaboration culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bazel or similar build systems and rule writing.
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite preferred).
• Strong Python skills including packaging and dependency management in a monorepo.
• Proficient in Go for backend services and internal tooling.
• Linux debugging of network/process issues.
• Kubernetes orchestration and either managed or self-hosted clusters.
• Hands-on AWS experience, IAM policy management, and Terraform/OpenTofu usage.
• Solid observability, monitoring practices, and incident response experience.
• Collaborative work within an infra team and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities
