Overview

Infrastructure Engineer

Our client in the Trumbull, CT area is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team. In this role you will be joining an experienced technical team working on the organizations enterprise systems. This position allows you to learn, further develop your skills, and grow within the organization.

Location – Trumbull, CT – hybrid schedule

Salary

Salary range - $85,000 - $100,000 + full benefits

Responsibilities

• Perform server patch management and apply security updates to maintain stability, security, and performance.
• Administer Microsoft-based systems and support infrastructure operations across VMware, storage, and data center environments.
• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting hardware / software issues and implementing long-term solutions.
• Develop and maintain systems documentation and contribute to Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
• Deliver after-hours support for a 220+ node WAN and manage assigned infrastructure projects to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of practical experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Patch Management, VMware, and Storage / Backup technologies
• Must be skilled in networking and Cisco routing, with knowledge of SANs and Group Policy
• Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams, performing well under pressure, and quickly resolving outages

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Certifications (Microsoft, VMware, ITIL) a plus
