Position Overview: Lead the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health. Interpret architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology to better support business needs. Provide in-depth cross-platform server systems, systems engineering, and integration leadership. Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, information services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff. Communicate thoughts and ideas. Organize workflow to accomplish established objectives. Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve a common goal or to gain better understanding of client needs. Perform effectively in environments with frequent and fluctuating workload changes, competing demands, and frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
Education Requirement: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, IT, Engineering or a closely-related field.
Experience Requirement: 3 years of experience in job offered or a Programmer Analyst, IT or Engineering - related occupation.
Alternate Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Technology, IT, Engineering or a closely-related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or Programmer Analyst, IT or Engineering - related occupation.
Specific Requirements: Supporting large complex environments consisting of 5 PBs environments using Hitachi advanced tools - ShadowImage, ShadowCopy, Tuning Manager, Replication and DR experience; A mid to large storage and backup high availability environment; Brocade/Cisco SAN Switches and IBM, HP, Hitachi, EMC, NetApp, and SUN Disk and Subsystems; Windows, UNIX and OS400 cross-platform systems environment supporting critical business and clinical applications; Providing support for incident management across all environments; Specification, design, engineering, configuration, testing, and implementation of server systems hardware, operating systems, related subsystems, and application components running on multiple platforms; Supporting storage environment utilizing Hitachi’s high-end storage technology consisting of ShadowImage (SI), TrueCopy, and Hitachi Unified Replication (HUR); Effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas; and Working with change management practices, performing software upgrades, and troubleshooting issues.
Rate of Pay: $70.50 to $74.50 per hour
