This is an extraordinary opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer who possesses a strong skill set with various on-premises and Cloud technologies to join the area's fastest growing Legal IT Services Provider and its expanding Professional Services Team. The ideal candidate needs to possess the skills to design, deploy, and maintain solutions according to vendor specific requirements. As this position is client-facing, the successful candidate must possess solid customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and dependable follow-up. This opportunity’s primary responsibility is the design, implementation, and support of enterprise systems for current and future Helient customers. The successful candidate will have significant proficiency in system architecture and infrastructure components, such as servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.

Enterprise Infrastructure Support

• Provide advanced technical support and engineering expertise for physical and virtual desktop environments, server infrastructure, applications, storage platforms, and data services for current and future Helient on-premises and cloud-based customers.
• Ensure customer environments remain available, secure, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices and business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across virtualization, networking, storage, cloud, and end-user computing platforms.

Pre-Sales Consulting and Solution Development

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, prospects, and the Helient sales organization during discovery, assessment, and proposal phases.
• Participate in customer meetings to understand business objectives, technical requirements, operational challenges, and compliance needs.
• Assist with accurate scopes of work, project estimates, statements of work, and implementation plans that align expectations with budget and timeline requirements.
• Provide guidance on product selection, licensing, infrastructure sizing, and architectural recommendations to support successful project outcomes.

Solution Architecture and Design

• Develop comprehensive technical architectures and solution designs based on customer requirements, operational goals, and strategic objectives.
• Create design documentation, implementation plans, migration strategies, and operational procedures that reflect vendor recommendations, supported configurations, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance scalability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements while remaining supportable, maintainable, and aligned with Helient standards.

Project Implementation and Delivery

• Provide ongoing operational support, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for customer production environments in accordance with contracted service level agreements.
• Perform proactive health assessments, capacity planning, patch management, security reviews, and lifecycle management activities to maintain stable and secure environments.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, disaster recovery plans, and technical runbooks.
• Participate in escalation management for critical incidents and serve as a senior technical resource for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Technical Leadership and Continuous Improvement

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Share knowledge across engineering teams through documentation, training sessions, technical reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, vendor roadmaps, industry trends, and security developments to continuously improve customer solutions and service offerings.
• Support strategic initiatives that enhance Helient’s service portfolio, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
