Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a 12‑month contract with primary on‑site work in Pennington, NJ and other locations in Jacksonville, FL and Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite). The role focuses on DevOps, cloud infrastructure configuration, IaC, and CI/CD, using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting to automate and secure deployments across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Ideal candidates will have Terraform expertise, Windows/Linux server administration, and experience with .NET/Java

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Configuration Engineering, DevOps, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience supporting both cloud and on-premises server environments.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation tools.
• Experience supporting deployments for .NET and Java applications.
• Experience with Git-based source control systems (Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

Job Description:

We are seeking a Devops Engineer with Cloud Infrastructure Configuration Engineer experience supporting hybrid environments consisting of both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role combines Infrastructure as Code (IaC), server automation, and CI/CD configuration engineering to support application deployment and infrastructure provisioning across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Terraform, Windows and Linux server administration, and CI/CD pipeline technologies supporting .NET and Java applications. This position offers an opportunity to work across infrastructure, automation, and deployment engineering while helping drive increased adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.

Build, maintain, and support infrastructure using Terraform across cloud and on-premises environments

Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and templates to standardize infrastructure deployments

CI/CD Configuration Engineering

Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET and Java applications

Configure and manage deployment automation using tools such as Jenkins, Digital.ai Release (XLR), Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies

Troubleshoot build, deployment, and configuration issues across multiple environments

Work with development teams to automate software delivery processes and improve deployment efficiency

Maintain application configuration standards and deployment procedures

Support release implementation, deployment validation, and rollback activities when necessary

Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and production support teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle

Automation Configuration Management

Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages

Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible or Ansible Tower to automate server and application administration tasks

Automate repetitive operational and deployment activities

Improve deployment consistency through standardized automation practices

Operations Support

Monitor infrastructure and deployment pipelines to identify and resolve issues proactively

Assist in root cause analysis and issue resolution activities

Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks

3-5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Configuration Engineering, DevOps, or a related field

Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management

Experience supporting both cloud and on-premises server environments

Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers

Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation tools

Experience supporting application deployments for .NET and Java applications

Experience with Git-based source control systems such as Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab

Experience with scripting technologies including PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
