Job summary

Arkfintech is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud platform powering our financial products. You will automate, monitor, and optimize AWS-based infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and cost-efficiency at scale.

You’ll work with software engineers, QA, and product managers to deliver fast, safe deployments and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and strong observability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production cloud infrastructure experience, ideally in fintech or financial services
• Proficient with AWS or Azure core services and networking
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Solid understanding of Linux, containers/orchestration, and monitoring/logging tools
• Knowledge of reliability, auditability, and change-control in financial systems
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure
• Codify environments with Infrastructure as Code for repeatable changes
• Configure cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, DNS, VPN)
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Own observability with monitoring, logging, and dashboards
• Tune capacity and performance to meet availability/latency targets
• Support database operations including backups, replication, and failover
• Troubleshoot production issues including on-call participation
• Track and optimize cloud spend (FinOps practices)
• Maintain architecture docs, runbooks, and inventories
• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, and product managers

We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate the cloud platform that our financial products run on. You'll design, automate, and maintain infrastructure on AWS, keep our systems reliable and cost-efficient as we scale, and give our engineers a platform that's fast and safe to ship on.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS across compute, storage, database, and networking services
• Codify environments and operational tasks with infrastructure as code so that every change is repeatable, reviewable, and safe to roll back
• Configure and maintain cloud networking, including VPCs and virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, DNS, and VPN connectivity between environments
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, making releases faster and lower-risk for application teams
• Own observability across the platform: monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards that surface problems before customers notice them
• Tune capacity, scaling, and performance so core financial services meet their availability and latency targets
• Support database operations, including backups, replication, failover, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including on-call rotation participation, and lead root-cause analysis afterward
• Track and optimize cloud spend, right-sizing resources without sacrificing reliability
• Maintain architecture documentation, environment inventories, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, QA, and product managers

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience running cloud infrastructure in production, with prior experience in the financial industry (banking, payments, trading, lending, or fintech)
• Strong hands‑on expertise with either AWS or Azure and their core compute, storage, database, and networking services
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
• Solid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: Linux, containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud networking, and monitoring and logging tooling
• Understanding of the reliability, auditability, and change‑control expectations that apply to financial systems
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

• Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks specific to banking or financial services
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience building platform tooling or self‑service workflows that other engineering teams depend on
• Familiarity with cloud cost management and FinOps practices at scale
