Job summary

Entegee seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to lead VMware to Azure migrations across on-prem and hybrid environments. You will design strategies, implement reference architectures, and drive cost-efficient modernization of workloads with strong governance.

The role emphasizes security, change management, and collaboration across IT teams and executives, including leveraging AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
• 3-5 years in cloud architecture required.
• Experience with Active Directory modernization (hybrid and cloud-native).
• SQL Server migration to Azure PaaS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and enterprise change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of VMware-based infrastructure to Azure IaaS/PaaS.
• Design migration strategies for file services, apps, and supporting infra.
• Develop landing zones, reference architectures, and cloud governance.

Job description

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3-5 years in cloud architecture
• Proven experience with:
• Active Directory modernization (hybrid and cloud-native)
• SQL Server migration to Azure PaaS
• Hands-on expertise with:
• Strong understanding of:
• Security frameworks and enterprise change management practices
• Cloud governance, cost management, and operational controls
• Experience leveraging or integrating AI-enabled tools into workflows
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to interface across technical and executive

Duties:

• Lead end-to-end migration of VMware-based virtual infrastructure to Azure IaaS/PaaS services
• Design and execute migration strategies for:
• File services, application workloads, and supporting infrastructure
• Develop reference architectures, landing zones, and cloud governance frameworks
• Optimize workloads for cost, performance, and scalability in Azure

Data & Platform Modernization

• Lead migration and modernization of SQL databases to Azure PaaS services
• Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and cost optimization post-migration
• Support broader platform modernization initiatives including API, analytics, and integration services
• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Support network modernization initiatives including cloud connectivity, resiliency improvements, and automation of operational tasks

Cross-Team Partnership

• Drive adoption of automation technologies (e.g., Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot)
• Provide oversight of automation pipelines and governance controls
• Collaborate with the security team to enforce monitoring, auditing, and incident response readiness
• Implement solutions aligned with:
• NIST / CIS / ISO frameworks
• Enterprise change and risk management processes
