Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to ensure DBT Infrastructure systems operate efficiently and to support platforms, unifying communications, messaging, and identity for a seamless user experience.

You will assist the Service Desk as an escalation point within an ITIL framework. The role covers incident resolutions, server administration, Windows/Linux deployments, and on‑prem infrastructure with Active Directory, DNS, VMware, and security controls.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based OS configuration, automation, and management.
  • VMware and Azure certifications are preferred.
  • ITIL V4+ Foundation knowledge and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, responsive resolutions to IT Incidents.
  • Server administration.
  • Windows and Linux deployment.
  • Manage Infrastructure incident support queues daily.
  • On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMware, firewalls, routing.
  • Identity and user management via Azure or 3rd party.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Worker Type Regular Job Description Summary

An infrastructure engineer ensures all the DBT Infrastructure systems that support business operations function efficiently. Additionally, the infrastructure engineer may also support and develop specific platforms and will concentrate on unifying communications, messaging and identity toward a seamless user experience. Provide assistance to Service Desk team as escalation point supporting ITIL model.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality, responsive and consistent resolutions to IT Incidents
  • Server administration
  • Windows and Linux deployment
  • Managing the Infrastructure incident support queues activities on a day-to-day operational basis.
  • On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
  • Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

DesiredCertifications: VMware, Azure 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management. 5-7 years of experience with Automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience ITIL V4+ Foundation knowledge and operations.

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Large enterprise-level experience in storage technologies supporting multiple Operating Systems and environments. Proficient with Systems performance tuning, capacity management and replication. Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties. Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives. Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products. Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company. Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests.

Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office and production environment (Constant). Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent).

Special Requirements

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required. Clearance Level No Clearance. The salary range for this role is: $91,000 - $138,750 AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements. A “U.S. person” according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
