Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an infrastructure engineer to ensure DBTInfrastructure systems operate efficiently and to support platforms that unify communications, messaging and identity for a seamless user experience.

The role provides ITIL-aligned incident support, server administration, and expertise in AD, DNS, VMware, and Azure-based identity solutions. On a fast-paced team, you will help maintain secure, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux OS configuration, automation and management.
• 5-7 years of automation scripting experience including PowerShell.
• Minimum of 8 years in Systems Administration/Engineering.
• ITIL V4+ Foundation knowledge and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, responsive resolutions to IT incidents.
• Server administration and Windows/Linux deployment.
• Manage infrastructure incident support queues daily.
• On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMware, firewalls, routing.

Summary

An infrastructure engineer ensures all the DBT Infrastructure systems that support business operations function efficiently. Additionally, the infrastructure engineer may also support and develop specific platforms and will concentrate on unifying communications, messaging and identity toward a seamless user experience. Provide assistant to Service Desk team as escalation point supporting ITIL model.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality, responsive and consistent resolutions to IT Incidents
• Server administration
• Windows and Linux deployment
• Managing the Infrastructure incident support queues activities on a day-to-day operational basis.
• On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
• Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

• Desired Certifications: VMware, Azure
• 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management.
• 5-7 years of experience with Automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• ITIL V4+ Foundation knowledge and operations.

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

• Large enterprise-level experience in storage technologies supporting multiple Operating Systems and environments.
• Proficient with Systems performance tuning, capacity management and replication
• Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
• Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
• Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
• Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company
• Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests

The salary range for this role is:

$91,000 - $138,750
