Position: Mainframe Engineer – CA7 Specialist

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey; Tampa, FL; Plano, TX; Columbus, OH

Duration: 6 to 12 months contract with high possibility of conversion

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Engineer with deep expertise in the CA7 scheduling product and a strong background in automation and workload orchestration.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

• Extensive hands‑on experience with CA7, with capabilities that go beyond basic batch scheduling.
• Proven experience in CA7 configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and system integrations.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and workflow optimization.
• Solid working knowledge of REXX for mainframe automation, utilities, and custom tooling.
• Strong understanding of job dependencies, calendars, triggers, and workload automation principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Broadcom AAI (Automatic Automation Intelligence) for advanced workload analytics, forecasting, and monitoring.

Pay Range

$55–$62/h on W2
