Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) invites motivated students or early-career professionals to join as an Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern in Minnesota. You will help design, build, and maintain automation for HPC and AI environments, gaining hands-on software development, systems engineering, DevOps, and AI-assisted operations experience.

Responsibilities include scripting in Python/Bash, developing automated workflows, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines while learning security

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash.

• Gain exposure to monitoring, logging, and security best practices for large-scale systems.

Internship Opportunity: Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) invites motivated students or early-career professionals to join our team as an Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern. In this role, you will assist in designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions for large-scale High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI environments. This internship offers hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, DevOps, and AI-assisted operations within a cutting-edge technology setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of automated workflows for deploying and managing HPC and AI infrastructure.
• Assist in scripting and automating tasks using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Help build and test CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure components, containers, and software stacks.
• Contribute to infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and recovery activities under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate compute, networking, storage, and container technologies.
• Participate in creating documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Learn to use advanced AI tools and techniques, including natural language queries and retrieval-augmented generation, to improve documentation and support workflows.
• Gain exposure to monitoring, logging, and security best practices for large-scale systems.

Education & Experience

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash.

Knowledge & Skills

• Interest in automation, infrastructure, HPC, or AI/ML systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
