Job summary

Centre Technologies is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant to assist with design, deployment, validation, and implementation of scalable solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. You will be the expert on maintenance and upgrades of servers, email systems, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access, following best practices.

The role requires experience across on-prem and hosted data centers, with travel to client sites (~20%) and a hybrid work schedule

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack and cloud platforms.
• Experience with on-premises and hosted data centers.
• Familiarity with security, network management, and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, validate and implement scalable IT solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud and security.
• Maintain and upgrade servers, email delivery systems, storage, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Manage remote access systems and network management tools.
• Collaborate with clients on best-practice configurations and migrations.
• Lead ongoing optimization and transformation initiatives with MSP support.

Position Summary:

This position is focused on assisting with the design, deployment, validation, and implementation of scalable solutions within infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security with efficiency, confidence, and competence. The Infrastructure Consultant will be the expert on maintenance and upgrade of infrastructure including servers, email delivery systems, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems in accordance with best practices and established processes.

Familiarity with the following, but not all are required:

• Experience with the Microsoft Stack
  • Office 365 – MCSA Office 365
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services, etc.)
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016/Office 365
• Experience with Citrix Technologies
• Experience with Meraki & CISCO
• Virtualization Experience - VMware Technologies & CITRIX
• Experience managing on-premises and hosted data center environments
• Experience in Infrastructure and Operations services
• Experience in Enterprise Cloud Migration and Transformation
• Intermediate knowledge of Cloud Economics and Optimization
• Experience with a Managed Cloud service supporting AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Previous experience with managed service providers, operational management, and ongoing continuous improvement preferred

Education/Experience/Certifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on IT experience required
• High School degree required
• Associate Degree or greater preferred
• Server Deployment – MSCA Windows Server 2016 preferred
• Cloud – AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure preferred
• Network Basics – Cisco - CCNA preferred
• Firewall – Checkpoint CCSA preferred
• VMware – vSphere 6.5 Foundations Exam preferred
• Security – Certified Network Defender preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Onsite travel to client sites required (approx. 20%)
• Hybrid schedule: Mon-Thurs onsite, Friday remote
• Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds) may be required
