Job summary

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our team for infrastructure projects in the Chicagoland area. This full-time role in Aurora, IL, focuses on field inspections, safety, documentation, and coordination with Resident Engineers to ensure contract conformity and quality on a variety of sites.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree, at least 1 year of construction experience, a valid driver's license, and strong proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent construction experience.
• At least 1 year of construction experience; 3 years preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections at active sites to ensure safety, contract conformance and QA/QC.
• Observe materials and activities, document findings, and notify Resident Engineer of non-conformances.
• Monitor progress, tabulate quantities, and prepare project documents and files.
• Work with Resident Engineer across regular or swing shifts as needed.
