Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex electricity transmission and substation construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 5 years’ experience in electrical utilities project management.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain PMP within 1 year.
  • Experience administering large dollar projects.
  • Experience in electric transmission and substation construction projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets requirements.
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety policies.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and principles.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and accountable for overall project performance, including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation, for complex and high-risk projects.
  • Serve as primary communicator with sponsors and key stakeholders on project issues.
  • Manage project finances, scope, cost, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate project requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and present project status updates to the Program Manager and customer project management leadership.
  • Identify and secure project team resources.
  • Review contractor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope and terms.
  • Lead scheduled project meetings and presentations.
  • Foster working relationships among project managers, line managers, and assigned team members.
  • Manage project costs and develop recovery plans to stay within budget.
  • Ensure team members understand responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Coach and lead team members in developing task, spending, and communication plans.

  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety policies
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and principles
