Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking qualified professionals to inspect concrete structures, review drawings, and perform field inspections on complex transportation projects. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients on-site, delivering high‑quality constructability reviews and documentation.

The role requires degrees or equivalent, relevant Caltrans/Metro experience, and certifications such as EIT, CMIT, NICET or APWA.

Qualifications

  • Engineering/Architecture/Building Construction degree required or equivalent
  • Additional 1 year of paid professional experience with an Associate's degree
  • EIT and 5+ years of related paid professional experience
  • Caltrans/Metro inspection experience and related certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of Caltrans policies and construction standards

Responsibilities

  • Inspect concrete structures and related items such as prestressed post‑tension bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, sound walls, false work, CIDH piles, steel piles, anchor bolts, sheet piles, reinforcement, and soil nail walls.
  • Ensure compliance with approved plans and City, State, and Federal construction and safety standards and codes.
  • Review structure shop drawings to verify that plans meet contractual document requirements.
  • Make field inspections when necessary to clarify plans.
  • Confer or correspond with Engineer of Record, clients, or contractors concerning questions involved in constructability reviews.
  • Recommend changes during constructability reviews and support the RFI process during construction.
  • Attend weekly on‑site construction meetings.
  • Provide photo or video documentation.
  • Attend seminars and training courses to stay informed on new developments in the related field and to obtain current information on code changes.
  • Establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors, and managers.
  • Location and Work Schedule: The work location for this role is on‑site with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships. There will be both day and night shift assignments.

Qualifications
  • B.S. or higher degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction OR
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction and additional 1 (one) year of paid professional experience OR
  • EIT and 5 (five) years of related paid professional experience OR
  • Valid 5 (five) years of verified structural inspection experience
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of verified structural inspection experience
  • Relevant Caltrans and Metro inspection certifications
  • Highway experience, specifically with Caltrans
  • Knowledge of Caltrans and Metro’s policies and procedures as it relates to quality
  • Knowledge of standard plans, specifications, California test methods, and various constructional manuals
  • Knowledge of cast‑in‑place bridge experience with hinges, retaining walls, precast concrete girders, and large‑diameter CIDH piles
  • Verbal, written, and oral skills with experience in multitasking
  • Candidate will be a team player and solution oriented
  • CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA certifications
