Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC is seeking experts in project cost management to optimize budgets, forecasts and financial reporting across large infrastructure programs. You will help drive cost control, risk assessment and data-driven decision-making on client projects.

Join a team blending engineering, digital innovation and strategic leadership to deliver safer, more sustainable infrastructure. Onsite client work is expected with robust collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field or six years of related work experience.
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in project cost analysis, project controls, or capital project financial management.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and change management skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and communicate performance to leadership.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor expenditures and analyze budget performance against funded amounts.
  • Prepare routine cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and executive financial summaries.

THE WORK:
  • You’ll develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion projections throughout the project lifecycle.

  • You’ll participate in project meetings and communicate cost performance, financial risks, and recommended corrective actions.
  • You’ll promote continuous improvement of cost management processes, reporting, and project controls practices.

Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field or six (6) years of equivalent related work experience, in addition to the minimum experience requirement, may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in project cost analysis, project controls, or capital project financial management supporting utility or large infrastructure capital projects
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and estimate-at-completion methodologies
  • Experience interpreting project financial information and communicating cost performance to project leadership
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience supporting electric transmission and substation capital programs with an EPC firm
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, Power BI, Primavera P6, Cognos, or similar enterprise project controls systems
  • Understanding of earned value management principles and integrated cost and schedule reporting
  • Familiarity with utility capital governance processes and financial controls
  • Professional certifications such as AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP), AACE Certified Cost Technician (CCT), or other relevant project controls certifications are preferred

$147,000 - $189,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
