THE WORK:
  1. Maintain a strong and timely social media presence to disseminate information and promote FSD construction projects.
  2. Manage promotional materials, publications, media coverage, press guides, news releases, and public outreach related to FSD.
  3. Review online articles, videos, and social media posts to ensure alignment with FSD’s media plan and update outdated information, especially regarding schools modernization or updates.
  4. Develop content for the District website to promote students, teachers, and events.
  5. Research, collect data, compile information, and develop various communication materials including press releases, advisories, statements, articles, social media posts, and scripts for media outlets.
  6. Produce or edit informational and educational publications such as newsletters, brochures, and handbooks.
  7. Participate in public relations planning, providing input on goals, priorities, and budgeting.
  8. Evaluate the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of public relations efforts.
  9. Support the Facilities Executive Office in preparing presentations and supporting documents for key meetings, including board meetings.
  10. Create displays, exhibits, and educational or training programs.
  11. Assist FSD branches and departments in promoting initiatives and achievements.
  12. Work onsite with clients and partners to enable delivery and foster relationships.

Salary: $104,000 - $114,399 per year.

Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skills, and experience. We accept applications continuously; there is no fixed deadline.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 10 years of full-time paid experience managing facilities design or capital project planning, including design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • At least 5 years of this experience must involve the design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or similar public projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering from a recognized institution.
BONUS POINTS:
  • Valid Architect registration with the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer license from the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
