Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our infrastructure and capital projects, focusing on managing and analyzing construction and professional services documents, supporting client programs at Orlando International Airport, and ensuring project compliance and performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Review and analyze professional services and construction documents for a $5+B capital improvement plan.
  2. Support client, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), in managing capital and operational programs.
  3. Provide management consulting services, including construction auditing and cost reporting.
  4. Review construction estimates and change orders for compliance.
  5. Evaluate contract costs and change orders for accuracy.
  6. Assess construction schedules for impacts on time and cost.
  7. Review submitted pay applications and maintain detailed documentation.
  8. Develop relationships with clients and vendors to facilitate communication.
  9. Work onsite at client locations, with some in-person collaboration required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of construction industry experience, including 3 years in estimating or reviewing change orders.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with contract administration and project management principles.
  • PE license or recognized certification in related fields.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and review of Design/Bid/Build and alternative contracts.
  • Familiarity with construction documents and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
