Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• One year of construction project management or related experience is desirable.
• Possession of a Civil Engineer license or EIT is highly desirable.
• A valid Class C California driver license or ability to use an alternative transportation method.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing capital improvement projects related to infrastructure and public facilities.
• Prepare requests for proposals and write project specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, oversee bid process, and administer contracts.
• Ensure compliance with grant funding requirements and conduct plan reviews.
• Conduct field visits and respond to citizen concerns during all project phases.
• Prepare reports and maintain project records.
• Communicate with City employees, outside agencies, contractors, consulting engineers, and the public.
