THE WORK:
  1. Manage environmental risk evaluations, permitting, approvals, and compliance for data center developments to support timely construction and delivery.
  2. Oversee environmental due diligence during site acquisition, including assessments, investigations, and reviews of regulatory, biological, and cultural factors.
  3. Lead environmental consultants to ensure the timely and quality delivery of assessments, approvals, and reports.
  4. Develop and implement remediation strategies, overseeing completion of necessary actions prior to site pre-positioning and construction.
  5. Identify permitting requirements and create delivery strategies in coordination with design, construction, EHS, operations, and permitting teams.
  6. Support regulatory, stakeholder, and community engagement efforts for successful permitting and project execution.
  7. Manage environmental compliance activities across all project phases.
  8. Contribute to land development and environmental policy and strategy programs to support long-term growth.
  9. Provide technical guidance on environmental risks, permitting, and program development to internal stakeholders.
  10. Communicate environmental requirements clearly across diverse internal teams.
  11. Work onsite at client locations to enable delivery and cultivate relationships, with some in-person collaboration and flexibility to support work/life needs.

Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on various factors including location, role, experience, and skill set. We accept applications continuously, with no fixed deadline.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or program management, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of project or people management experience.
  • 1+ year of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 4+ years of experience in environmental permitting, impact assessments, permit acquisition, regulatory reviews, cultural and ecological surveys, due diligence, and risk assessments.
BONUS POINTS:
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities or large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in construction and operational environmental compliance and multi-market permitting.
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting programs such as air quality, threatened and endangered species, USACE/404 permits, SPCC, cultural resources, etc.
  • Understanding of remedial investigations, strategies, site management plans, and ability to develop permitting timelines and mitigate risks.
